Hi

I have an SB2, wireless connected using 128 bit encruption to a Net-Gear WPN824. My PC running the slimserver is connected wired using a pair of Devolo mains based ethernet things..

I am running Windows XP Pro, SP2 with firewall turned off currently. My SB2 can connect to the network successfully but it cannot connect to the SlimServer. All IPs are dynamic.

The SB2 can play Internet Radio/SqueezeNetwork OK.

I can ping the SB2 from my slimserver no probs...

Is there anything I else I have to do to get it to connect to my SlimServer?

Thanks

Tilted

the first thing i would try if you can is to remove the powerline ethernet adapters and hook your pc directly to the router. Might not make a difference, but at least it will rull out a config issue with them installed.

other things to verify:

1 - that slimserver is actually running. Access server:9000 from a web browser

2 - that slimserver isn't blocking the IP address that your SB has ended up with... go to Server Settings / Security / Block Incoming connections and ensure it says "Do Not block" - or, if you must set up a block, that you have specified the right address range in the Allowed IP Addresses field underneath
