View Full Version : Pandora has changed
Yesterday, Pandora refused to work at all and suggested I should come back later.
This morning, it is back up but the voting via the SB3 seems to have vanished. You can still add a song to your Pandora webpage to look it up later, but the voting has either gone or has moved to somewhere that I haven't found it yet.
Any ideas?
Gary
Just checked and for me nothing seems to have changed. Are you still having problems?
Sean.
Thanks for the reply, Sean. Mine has definately changed.
When I am in a Pandora radio station on the SB3, I now have a 12 part menu to the right. First thing in the menu now is 'Add this to my Pandora favourites page'. You can then scroll through loads of stuff on the bitrate of the song etc.
The voting used to be a simple right arrow press. This got you to 'I like this song'. Another right arrow press selected it. Going down one got you to 'I don't like this song'.
Both now gone on my system.
The only thing I've changed is installing a new version of Slimserver, which installed the new firmware. I cannot go back to the old firmware, as my player didn't work at all with that...

Are you listening to a shared station that you added via pandora.com? Shared
stations have the rating options removed. That's the only thing I can think of
that would cause this.
Dear Andy,
Thank you very much indeed. You are absolutely correct, and I now feel rather foolish. The stations in question were those that I had recently shared. I didn't realise that this would mean and end to voting on my system, as I guess I hadn't quite understood that, in this case, sharing means rather more than I'd bargained for.
Problem solved ;) so thanks again.

Hmm I think shared stations only disable voting when you are using someone
else's shared station. If you've shared your own, you should still be able to
vote. I will check into this, it may be a bug.

I can't reproduce this. Are you sure the station is one *you* shared out and
not one shared by someone else?
