newbie problem with slim server

Hi i have just bought an sb3,well chuffed but i am having problems with its relationship with slim server. I am running it on xp over a wireless lan. On first setup all stages went well, found network,joint network etc, then when sqbox said connecting to slimserver i got an error message saying there was a problem connecting with slimserver i spent a while going back through setup trying different settings, entering ip manually etc but to no avail, tried refreshing slimserver but it said there was no player connected. I then uninstalled then re-installed slimserver on my pc. immediately the install completed the sb3 and slmsrver found each other and i played happily all night trouble is i get the same problem occur every time i power my pc down and the only way i have found to get them to work is to un then reinstall every time. Is this a problem any one has had before, any suggestions.Thanks for looking chris

Well I think I managed to sort this out. I trawled through some past pages on the forum and found a similar problem. It seems zone alarm was to blame(or my ignorance of it) i added the sb3 and slmsrvr ip addreses to my trusted zone then lowered the trusted zone security level from high to medium, all seems to be running o.k now they found each other as soon as i clicked on apply. Hope this might help someone else
