Slimserver and AC3 DTS

I am thinking about buying squeezebox 3.

Can I use slimserver + squeezebox to feed dts and ac3 multichannel tracks using digital connection to Dolby Digital DTS enabled receiver?

Has anybody actually done this?

I have a 5.1 setup and I have some great multichannel music that I'd like to feed. Right now I need my notebook and my Turtle Beach USB audio adapter to feed AC3 and DTS to my receiver.

Yes, there's a thread on here giving detailed instructions on how to do it.
