Synchronzing Two Squeezeboxes

Hi - I am trying to synchronize two squeezeboxes using the web interface. I go to player settings / audio and switch the option in the drop-down server and the computer will then kick in and say everything is synchronized. However, although everything looks fine from my web interface - both squeezeboxes playing the same song, my squeezeboxes stop playing anything at all!

When I do this with the remote from the squeezebox everything freezes up beyond belief!

Any suggestions?

What version of Slimserver are you running, what hardware is your server running and what OS are you running on? What version Squeezebox do you have?

I'm going to make the following assumptions:
You have Squeezebox 3 with the little metal bar on the back;
You're running Windows for the OS, quite likely XP;
You're running Slimserver 6.2.1.

With that in mind, go here: http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/latest/6.2.2/ and download the latest version that ends with ".exe" . It won't likely be the answer to your problem but it fixes other bugs. Are both your SBs hooked up the same way (wired or wireless?)?

Lastly, when choosing to synchronize, be sure to sync from a player that is playing to the other. If you sync one that wasn't playing it would explain your playlist stopping. To make things easier, under the web interface when you click on a player to change its settings you can change the name as well so you know what is where.
