Can wireless squeezebox read from internal ftp server

Can the squeezebox read music from an internal ftp site?

I have music on an xbox but the software xbox media center only has an ftp server not a samba server.

It uses neither ftp nor samba: it uses slimserver.

The squeezebox is ... slim. it is completely controlled by the server software.
