Hey all. I've come across this slimserver software and it looks very sexy and seems to work very well.

However I wanted to have syncronised music playing across my networked computers.

However to do this, it seems I would have to set up a playlist and apply to each of the pcs, something I could already do.

Is there a way of applying a playlist to 192.168.2.0 (my whole local network) or simply to every PC?

I don't want seperate play lists, I want one play list streamed to lots of pcs at once!

You can synchronise players (hardware or softsqueeze).

Hmm... I guess that's a possibility I'll bear in mind.

I wanted at least one pc running media player (this is the one in my living room with the big tv, I want the visualisations) so everyone running softsqueeze doesn't seem too likely.

It could provide a partial solution however which I'll be considering :)

Any other way to broadcast the same playlist to all PCs?

manually starting as close to the same time as you can would be one.
even at that, all players get their OWN copy of the playlist and their
own copy of the stream. If you want to broadcast a single stream to
many clients, consider radio-style software...like shoutcast
