squeezebox && squeezenetwork

hello world,

i am an original slimp3 user who just upgraded to the third generation. the squeezenetwork is a new bit for me.

is there any plan on having the squeezebox able to connect to both the squeezenetwork and a slimserver at the same time? i ask because i enjoy the idea of the squeezenetwork alarm clock kicking in if my server kicks out, or just using the squeezenetwork alarm for the wakeup sounds alone, etc.

or, am i wrong in thinking that the alarm functions of the squeezenetwork are only avalable to connected boxen?

i suppose the real question i am asking others and myself: is there any benefit at all in this configuration?
