Slimserver messages

When does the message "SlimServer is still scanning your music library, so some items may not appear in this area yet." go away. I did this rescan yesterday and shut the server down at least twice.

Is there some where to clear it or is it really still scanning?

Is it still running? Well, only if something is seriously wrong or you have a VERY large library!!

You should be able to tell if it is running - your disc will be rattling like crazy and your CPU will be stuck at 100% usage.

More likely it has got confused - you should be able to clear it by refreshing the slimserver home page, or by navigating away to somewhere else in slim and back to slim's home.

If that doesn't work you have a problem. Post some more details of OS, server version, etc... If all else fails uninstall and reinstall.

In XP/SP2 I reset the Slim.exe priority from normal to high and watch until CPU goes to zero.
