WMA DRM support

To make me feel comfortable about my future purchase I installed SoftSqueeze, cool product. It does appear that WMA DRM is not a supported format. Is this true for the SqueezeBox also?

Go ahead and trash me, I hear all the time:)
I know the open source community cringes at the thought of DRM but I am cheap and I shop many many websites before I buy tracks. For purchasing tracks WMA DRM seems to have the widest coverage and the market forces do drive down the prices.

Thanks in advance for your input

You're out of luck at this time. No DRM support.

Totally and completely bummed:(

Errr, OK, does anyone know if this feature will be on a future release? Anyone have a pointer to a future feature list?

Great, I see it on the list

"More audio sources - Do what it takes - formats, DRM, integration with external audio providers - to make sure our users are not limited in their listening options."

I almost jumped ship to Roku, but I would rather wait. I just love the approach Slim Devices takes.

Thank you very much for the info.

The problem is persuading the DRM producers to licence their product, either at all or at a reasonable cost.

In the mean time, either using one of the programs that will record sound to your hard drive, or recording to CD and reripping are the only ways of using DRM. There would be no further loss of quality in the first method.
