SB2 acknowledging Remote Control command, especially in Full Font mode

Just got my Squeezebox2 (which I am loving) so I am pretty new to all this. I was wondering if there was some sort of option to get the SB2 to acknowledge a remote control command. Specifically:

I normally have the "Full" Font display because it is the easiest to read from where I am on the couch.

Let's say I want to add a new song to the playlist. I pick a song, hit the add button on the remote. But I don't know if it was added or not. Did I hold it long enough for the song to be added next? or will it be added at the end?

If I use the "Standard" Font display, the top line will let me know that the command has been received. But in the "Full" Font display, all you see is the name of the song.

The acknowledgement can be anything: a small beep, a flash in brightness, or my preference: an actual text message letting me know what has happened.

Is there some setting that does this? Am I missing something obvious? Any help would be appreciated.

I was just thinking this myself the other day.
I would second this feature if it is not already being considered...
An enhancement request perhaps?

We try to do this in general by flashing what would be on the top line.

Specifically where in the user interface are you when you don't see
the feedback?

Flashing what would be on the top line would be ideal. But that is not the behavior I am getting.

Where it works is in the Now Playing section when I want to remove a song. Scroll to song, hit "Add", and it will flash "Removing Song" (or something).

Where it does NOT work is any place where I can add a song(s) to the playlist. For example: "Search", "Song", type Song Name, "Search" (to find it). Then the screen displays the song title. Hit "Add", but no feedback on the screen. Hold down "Add", but still no feedback. But checking the Play List will reveal that the song is added.

BTW, I am using 6.1.1: maybe this works in the beta builds?

The 6.2 builds do a better job of this. Pressing play from browsing
does show "Playing" while in large text mode. I haven't tested much
else, since I use the two line text all the time.
