View Full Version : WOL Questions
I cannot get this to work on my LAN, the PC I use as my server wakes perfectly from my other PC's when I ask it, but the SB2 fails to get a grip. The SB2 is wireless and the PC's and server are all wired, but that should not make a difference. How is the SB2 identifying the target server, the MAC address is used for WOL in most cases, I assume that is fed to the SB2 when a connection is made, and retained to be used to fire the start command?

Make sure the wireless router your SB2 is connecting to is also the default gateway in your SB2 config.
I'm not sure if the WOL packets being sent by the SB2 are multicast or broadcasts, but seems likely that they aren't being sent via your router.
I run 2 wireless routers connecting to a wired ADSL access point, so that is the system gateway. The SB2 connects to one wireless router, though I am not sure which; they both have individual IP addresses.

Simon,
Go into the View Current Settings screens on the player and post the
settings... That would help diagnose...
