Dan,

This seems to start the mDNSResponder process even when a Rendezvous name is not set. Is this intentional?

Speaking as someone with a lightweight server I would rather minimise the processes running and don't see this one as necessary?
[just uses memory if not cpu..]

If the Rendezvous name is blank it seems it would advertise service with null name now rather than not advertise anything as
described in strings.txt

Don't know if you have had chance to look at this, but the attached fixes it for me. I can commit if you are happy.
