Hi,

I have about 800 albums all flac encoded. However, when I encoded them I didn't add the replaygain information. Now there's a chance that slimserver is going to support replaygain I'd like to go back and add this information. I've done a few using metaflac but it's a little labour intensive so I'm looking for suggestions for a more automated method.

I'm using Win XP for the server. I do have perl installed.

Thanks

Richard

1. Download foobar2000 from http://www.foobar2000.org/ - the lite
installer should do for ReplayGain, I recommend the special version if
you intend to use it for other tasks as well.

2. Load all of the albums to be treated into one playlist.

3. Select all entries, then 'Replaygain --> Scan selection as multiple albums'

That's it. For this to work the ALBUM tag must be the same for all
tracks in an ALBUM. If you have multiple albums with the same name I'd
suggest doing these seperately.

WARNING: foobar2000 likes to remove ID3 tags in favour of APE tags
from mp3 files in its default config. Your flacs will be fine.

Thanks for the tip, I've already got foobar2000 installed so I'll give it a try.
