I wonder if anyone has any recommendations for apps to locate album cover artwork. I have Linux, Mac OS X and WinXP machines I can do it on, but all the solutions I've found so far have shortcomings of one sort or another (mainly that they don't find anything for the majority of my albums or, curiously, don't /display/ quite a lot of them to find artwork for!).
Album Art Aggregator (Windows) is not bad, but it doesn't seem to find all my albums and it required downloading the .NET framework (why I hate to think), that slowed my machine to a crawl. And then it doesn't seem to look very far - most of my albums will /not/ be found on Amazon. 5 out of 10.
Album Cover Art Downloader by Skyostil (Win and Linux) is quite nice but again doesn't find all my albums (different ones to the above) and is a bit labour-intensive. Plus I couldn't get the Linux version to work (it needed version 0.2 of something that I had version 1.0 of to function). 7 out of 10.
Only thing I've found for Macintosh is Album Cover Finder which can only seem to find the most obvious titles (ie nearly none of my albums) so no way am I buying the full version. 4 out of 10.
Any suggestions welcome!
