I have an idea to use a tag as a replaygain workaround. You see I
would like to use iTunes for my music organizer and store my music as
Apple Lossless. Since I currently have a SLIMP3, the Apple Lossless
files are transcoded to MP3 using LAME on the fly. Since LAME has a
--scale function that could be used for replaygain. I can compute the
proper --scale value in advance using wavegain and add the value as a
comment tag. The key to making this work would be that convert.conf
could use this comment tag as input during the transcoding process. Is
this possible?
