I use Audiograbber (http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/) which is totally
free, and also does normalization, unlike EAC which only claims to do
normalization, but actually doesn't. I'm very happy with Audiograbber.
You just have to be a little careful changing some settings from the
defaults -- i.e., (a) creation of ID3v1 tags are not turned on by default --
not that important, as the only player I know of that reads ONLY v1 tags is
the stupid CD/MP3 player in my car, and (b) "Dynamic Sync Width" grabbing
seems to do a slower but much more reliable capture than the default of
"Buffered Burst Copy".
Of course, you'll want to team Audiograbber up with LAME,
http://mitiok.cjb.net/.
Hope that helps.
