You will want to be ripping in secure mode, in which the differences in
speed are not spectacular. The fastest audio ripping drives in secure mode
might be able to rip at about 4-6X.

Not sure what you are using but you can do a lot better than
that. I have a rather old (but very good value for its time)
Afreey 56x CD-2056E V13. With C2 off you get around 10x average.
It supposedly has C2 and after as much testing as I could do
without a A-BEX TCD-721R test disc I basically trust it enough
to keep C2 on and double that speed to 20x. Only drawback is
that it has a little trouble on badly scratched tracks. My
Liteon 48x24x48x is a bit better for those but still does around
7x.
