Maybe I am blind, having a brain fart or both but I can't seem to find the
source. Do you know where the source is for both mplayer and
mplayer-codec-essential. Seems like all of the files on this site are
installation rpms.

Hi Keith.
My slimserver runs on FC3, and I the FC2 binaries from here work for me:
http://luna.cs.ccsu.edu/dominik/mplayer/
But... if nothing else works... try compiling from source. It's not that
tough, really.
