View Full Version : Problem with 5.4 on OpenBSD 3.6

I just installed SlimServer 5.4 on my OpenBSD 3.6 server. Believe it
or not I haven't upgraded SlimServer in over two years and I figure
it's time. I used the generic tarball, not the RPM.

Anyway, when I try to start slimserver.pl it attempts to run a program
in the Bin/i386-openbsd directory and it locks up my session hard.
There are three binary files in that directory and I find that running
any of them causes the same result. It looks like this:

/usr/local/SlimServer_v5.4.0/Bin/i386-openbsd $ ./mDNSResponderPosix
../mDNSResponderPosix[1]: j/S%Qu: not found
../mDNSResponderPosix[1]: @: not found
../mDNSResponderPosix[2]: Failure: not found
../mDNSResponderPosix[3]: Bad: not found
../mDNSResponderPosix[4]: Cannot: not found
../mDNSResponderPosix[5]:

At this point I have to kill my terminal session.

Any ideas?

David,

It sounds like your copy of this binary got corrupted. Try removing
(or moving aside) the mDNSResponderPosix file and let us know if it
starts up...
