Unusual behavior (Tags)- EAC -> FLAC -> Slimserver

Setting up my Music archive using EAC, FLAC and slimserver, I
see an unusual behavior when tagging the flac file. I'm running
the flac encoder from eac, and when I set up the options field
for flac as

-T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "album=%g" -T "date=%y"
-T "tracknumber=%n" -T "genre=%m" %s

I cannot browse using Genre, or Title, or Album, or Artist. Only via
the
folder. BUT if I remove the %s from the options, I can browse using any
way I
want.
How does the slimserver's "browse" work for flac files. Does it look
at the flac
tag or the directory structure that the files are in? I do have the
files in a
directory tree structure.

I just started looking at flac, and don't see the problems you see. I
have no problems browsing the flac files by artist, album etc...

I would probably take a look at the file, and see if the tags are set
properly in the file (and whether slimserver can see it). If you click
on the actual file in the slimserver webpage, you should see all the
tags that slimserver sees on the file.

And if tagging works without the %s option, why not tag it without?
(Don't use EAC, so I don't know what the option might be, but I can
guess).
